Just wanting to know what the difficulty of an alarm install on a 2004 Kia Sedona Minivan would be?? I have a friend who is debating whether i do it or the store....i've told him about the warranty and stuff...still wanting me to do it.  Just wanna know the difficulty of whats involved.  Its  DEI alarm....2 way pager system...under the name blackwidow.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks

Black widow isn't made by DEI, it's by David Levy,  they are similar though.  Here's the diagram for your vehicle:

The level of difficulty would depend on his experience with alarms.

thanks for the wiring.  How would i go about disabling the stock remote door locks.  The Kia came stock with remote unlock/lock with a panic button....how do i disable that.

Why do you need to disable the remotes?

i thought that you had to dissable the factory panic before installing the alarm.  The alarm doesn't go off when the doors get opened....so what is even the purpose of the panic button??

Sorry....its the passive door locks and the OEM immobilizer that need to go.  And i dunno how to do it.  I'm not sure of kia's immobilizer system.  Just not sure on how to fool it for the remote start so the key doesn't need to be in the ignition to start the van from the remote.  Any help on the passive door locks or the immobilizer thing would be greatly appreciated.  THe alarm to be installed is now a Valet 554R from DEI.    https://asianwolf.com/caralarms.htm;$sessionid$RJFO30IAAABAFTZENUFHBMWPERWRJPX0

that link will take you to the picture of the alarm....its the second one down i think.

i did an alarm on an 04 sedona... it wasn't any problem... i don't know about those passive doorlocks... i didn't have any problem with that... just used negative trigger... it wasn't a remote start so i can't help you there... the hardest wire to find was the door trigger. good luck

i show that there is no immobilizer or factory anti-theft sort of thing like passkey or vats or transponder or anything... just do everything like normal :)
