I am looking to install a Magicar alarm into a 2002 chevy silverado 2500HD.  My question is the alarm has outputs for OEM override and also Alarm over ride.  I am trying to figure out what wires to hook these to.  I know that the Vehicle aintitheft system wires are at the base of the steering colum but I am not sue which Alarm wire connects to these wires and I also and not sure how the other wires work.  I basically need to know how to handle the security that the truck has already (basically just a content protection device) and the VATS.  Any help would be appeciated...

|FACTORY ALARM DISARM----------lt.green -----------drivers kick

Also found in the purple plug of the BCM.

This vehicle has the passlock II immobilizer system

Use a bypass module that learns the changing resistor values of the system. I do not have the wiring diagram for the FAI300 so I can't help you on the wiring connection.

I am not familair with the bypass module.  I am not a professional installer.    Where do you mean by kick panel and what is the BCM?  Sorry but I am a newbie to this stuff but am trying to learn. there is a lot more to it than I thought.  Thanks for any help.

BCM= Body Control Module, and your kick panel is right next to your left foot if your in the driver seat or right foot in the passenger side.

The BCM is exposed by removing three 7mm screws, and pulling off the portion of the dash that's in front of your knees.

The BCM has three plugs, all facing you, and they have most of the wires you need.  The light green factory alarm disarm wire will show a ground whenever the key is inserted in the driver's door and twisted to the unlock position.

Are you installing a remote start too, or just alarm?

remote start and alarm.  I have the alarm part hooked up but for some reason my cargo lamp is always on now.
