Hello all,

I've had remote starters in the past, but I've always gone with just a bottom-of-the-line model.  I'm looking to go a little more extreem this time, however, and I need some direction.

Beyond just starting the car, I'd really like to have something that has window control functionality.  As some of you probably know, the Jetta's have the auto up/down functionality by just turning the key in the driver's door either direction.  It would be nice to have this functionality remotely as well.  I'd also like to have the rear-defrost conrol.

And lastly, I've caught hints in some of my reading that some remote starters can be activated via phone.  This sounds vaguely familiar from when I was researching all this a few years ago, but I can't seem to find anything real specific.  Probably because I'm not sure exactly what I'm looking for.  Possibly an add-on to a remote starter that allows for this capability?

I realize that there aren't a whole lot of 'starter only' devices out there, so I'll probably have to purchase an alarm/start combo unit, but what's the best direction to start looking?

Thanks in advance for the input folks.

I would go for a DEI and to roll up / down the windows a timed relay 528T would be enough as the car has a built in comfort module.
