I have a customer who pruchased a Pro Guard alarm from canadian tire. everything seems to be working fine except it does not pick up the doors during the auto arming. It just goes into passive arming as soon as you turn the key off. I have tested all the wires and the door trigger is getting right to the brain. We have changed the brain and found it to be the same. I am wondering if anyone has seen this and if there is a fix, or is this just the way it is?

thanks in advance

Its installed into a ford explorer. its around a 98 or 99. i have hooked up all wires needed. the imobilizer is wired in as is the power locks, flashing parking lights. everything seems to be working fine, except it won't pick up the doors. i'm thinking this thing is more of a keyless entry with an imobilizer, but it says right in the install manuel that it will start to auto ar once the last door is closed. i have tested the wire right at the brain as well. i have even tried the negative trigger just to make sure. and got no response from either.

if any one has any ideas that would be great. i would like to tell the customer whats up with his system. if this is the way it works he'll be ok with it but it would be nice to find out for sure.

thanks in advance

you probably need to program that feature into the alarm.
