hey i have a 96 VW Jetta Factory security system i just one day the beep when you press the lock/unlock button just stop working. how would i go about fixing this? Thanks

Check the door switches for proper operation, also the hood and trunk. When the convenience module "sees" an open zone, it will not arm (IE: Honk). For some helpful handy "how-to's" on VW's, head over to www.vwvortex.com.
