the trunk realease on my 92 deville quit working, some guy told me there was a switch that could be replaced for like 40 bucks, he also said there was something he could do with the wires to the motor to make it shut as a quick fix, does anyone know how to do this?

if your trunk selenoid still works, then he was probably just going to wire up a relay and hook it up to a push pin swith. if the selenoid still works, and just the wiring is damaged, it is no big deal fixing that.
