The antenna ring needs to be closer to the black plastic part of the cylinder. The chip is in the plastic piece of the key and the antenna ring needs to be as close to the outside of the cylinder as possible.

Could it be just beside the plastic piece (as close as possible) or it must be INSIDE the black plastic piece? It doesn't seem to fit inside there very well :(

are you sure you have the bypass hooked up to the remote start trigger? it won't start if you dont turn on the bypass

One problem could be a second ignition for your car. On my Nissan Pathfinder I went through 3 bypass modules not knowing I had a second ignition. Your car might have it if its a newer model. So try that.

No, my car doesn't have more than 1 ignition. The bypass is triggered, 'cause the same wire triggers my clutch switch and the car starts if I insert the key into the ignition switch. I tried moving the ring on top of the black housing and it still didn't start. I guess I might have to look for a different kind of a bypass module.

first just put the factory key in the cylinder and try to start it.....just to make sure your remote start works.......secondly you need to remove the plastic material that is wrapped around the copper wire of the antenna ring and wrap it around the most outer part of the cylinder. you have to remove that plastic for this vehicle, if you don't you won't be able to get the shroud over the cylinder.

Found my problem... It was a bad 12v wire, no connection... Now everything works :)
