My friend's Cadillac has an Avantguard system and his siren makes a beep sound when he arms it. What siren is this? Is it that self-powered one that's only compatible with the AV systems? What other sirens use the pager-type beep as their chirp? I've heard stock systems do the same thing. Thanks!

all sirens beep when you arm the system.

there should be a part # on the back of the siren itself, like 514N, etc.
