your missing your door trigger.........do you have the 2040 or the 4040....if it's the 4040 you need a chip to activate the system.

You will still have a door trigger, your door trigger goes to your dome light, which senses when a door opens....

Door trigger is different than door lock/unlock...

Whats not working on it? Is it not chirping/powering up, or not responding to break in attempts...? Is the door opening not triggering or is the shock sensor even not working?

The corolla has a RED / WHITE wire that runs in one of two harnesses that can be found in the drivers kick panel.  You can hook both the brown wire AND (1) of the GREEN / WHITE wires together tapped on this RED / WHITE(door trigger).

You said you have your power wire hooked up to a WHITE/ black wire in the ignithon harness.... um... should be a SOLID WHITE WIRE... no black trace.  The white wire w/black trace is (I believe) a ground wire (as is most every other WHITE/ black wire in the corolla.

Something you may want to consider concerning the parking light circuit on the new toyotas on virtually every Toyota made these days is....... IT HAS AN INTOLERANCE FOR 12V BEING INTRODUCED TO THE PARKING LIGHT CIRCUIT.  (i.e.  you SHOULD ALWAYS convert the parking light trigger to a negative feed instead of positive)... this can be done by cutting away the red wire from the fifteen amp fuse(next to the 5amp) and grounding that wire.  The solid red wire from the KARR alarm harness will go from the alarm molex directly to ground.  This feeds the circuit ground instead of positive.  THEN.... tap your white alarm parking light wire to the GREEN/ paleyellow wire which runs in the same harness as the GREEN/ YELLOW horn trigger wire which can be accessed by removing the dash cowling under the steering wheel.  I've witnessed MANY toyota running light circuits damaged due to being fed positive pk lights from alarms.  DON'T DO IT!  The Toyota Sienna is another one... DON'T EVER FEED IT POSITIVE PK LIGHTS !

I've perfected adding door lock actuators on the corollas where others have butchered the mechanisms... give me a jingle if you ever want to add locks.
