Can I use the factory horns instead of the siren? This would me connecting connector 5 pin 4 (brown) positive siren output to the factory horn's positive wire.

Also, what is the connector 5 pin 4 (white), -250mA output, used for?

Thanks.....

It's not a good idea to use your factory horns INSTEAD OF your siren. You can hook up your horns to the connector 5 pin 5 white -250 amp horn honk output. You would need to hook that up at the steering column, if you wire it directly to the horn you will need a relay. If you hook up your horns to the siren output, your car will blare the horn when your alarm goes off, and quickly burn out your horn. Alarms pulse the horn, because horns won't take many 30-60 second prolonged outputs before failing. If you use the horn honk output, it won't honk while arming/disarming or warnaway (which the siren does). If you really want to use the horn, you could probably hook it up to the siren with a relay flasher.

Thanks tcool,

I suppose I can also hook it up to the neg. parking light output with a relay.

If you have remote start hooked up, it will honk the horn when it remote starts.

Just hook it up to the horn output, why make it all messed up like that? I didn't need a relay, by the way... Horn is loud as hell...it scares me.
