Hey,
I’ve just bought a Clifford 550 alarm, and I’m fitting it myself. But the only thing I’m unsure of is the factory fitted immobiliser, would I be able to run the factory immobiliser and the Clifford simultaneously? So could I just wire ignition wire and starter wire from the Clifford directory in ?
Lucas 5AS Security ECU Immobilser fitted !
ROVER Mini is 1999 Cooper Sport 1.3mpi
Regards
James

As long as the alarm isn't a remote start type alarm then you shouldn't have any problems integrating it into your car. Everything will work fine.

Help Locating Ignition & Starter Wire
Hi peepz, need some help on installing a clifford 550, in ROVER MINI COOPER MPI V-REG (1999)
Done most of the installing but still not very sure what wire is the ignition and start wires, I would be very grateful is anyone had a wiring diagram so I cant tell which wire is which. I do have a multi meter, but it gets very confusing as 2 wires are reading 12v before I turn the key and when I start the car all of those wires all become 12v.
Im also interested in bypassing the other factory immobilizer fitted to this car, how would I go about this.
Any help on installing for this car would be fantastic
