I have a 1995 Honda Passport (NOT a 1995.5 model). The 1995 Honda Passport is functionally equivalent to a 1994 Passport, 1995 Rodeo, and 1994 Rodeo.
The stock door locks have lock motors in all doors with the exception of the driver's door (there is NO lock/unlock button on the driver's door window switch cluster). Locking/unlocking all four doors is accomplished by pushing down or pulling up the standard lock button (near window at back of driver's door). That button in turn flips a swith in the door which activates the factory relay for the other three doors.
The FACTORY optional security system requires REMOVAL of the driver's door switch, and replaces it with a door lock motor. When using the factory security system the driver's door lock button activates the original factory relay for the other three doors just as it did before installation of the factory security system. So, the driver's door lock motor now acts as a motor (for keyless entry), BUT also acts as a switch for the other three doors.
The factory security unit includes on-board relays to operate the locks (and other stuff). I have called the manufacturer of the factory unit (SCS Frigette in Texas), but they have long since lost the wiring diagrams and other information regarding their system.
I going to replace the factory unit (while using as much of the factory security system harness as possible) with a Clarion Ungo SR5000 (functionally comparable to a DEI 554R.
I understand the relay concepts of activating the driver's door lock motor, but would like to know how to also use the driver's door lock motor as a switch for the other 3 doors just like the factory security unit does using the factory door lock relay. Is anyone here familar with this on a 94/95 (NOT 95.5) Honda Passport or Isuzu Rodeo?
Thank you!
why dont you just add an acutator and be done with the whole project, and leave the system like it is?
just my 2 cents... sounds like your making alot of extra work for yourself when you could be done with the project already

Perhaps I didn't write clearly. The car has a Honda keyless/alarm system (with an added actuator in the driver's door.... which ***required*** removal of the driver's side lock switch). There were no factory installed systems at the time (this is a Honda labeled system that was added after vehicle production).
The factory system does not have some features I want: remote start, 2-way remote.
Going back to my original question: How to set up these locks with the SR5000 to work using the driver's side door lock knob (in addition to the remote key fob) (as is currently the case with the Honda based security system)? Please see my original post for details.
Thank you.
