All,

In my 97 toyota 4Runner, the interior lights (map, footwell, and dome) have ceased coming on when a door is opened like they used to. Checked fuses and tried opening all four doors individually to see if any would turn the lights on, but no good.

The lights all work perfectly if I set dome light switch to "On", but when set to "Door" does nothing. The ground to the lights is not getting from the door jamb switch back to the dome light, but I don't know where to look for it?

Is there a relay, or something else anyone here could help me find or troubleshoot? I tried searching, but found little on it on the forum here.

Thanks a bunch for any help!

CB

There are some installers that remove a molex up high and behind the fuse box.  Removal of the dash cowling may be necessary for access.  I believe it's only two or three wires, one of which is light green with a black trace.  It may be unplugged.  Good luck.
