please help! i have a 1999 civic with a matrix rsx 3.5 alarm system. i just attempted to install a dei 515r back-up battery/siren to my alarm. i tapped the red wire to the 12volt constant input (red) from the alarm brain, the black wire to the ground input (black) from the alarm brain, and the violet wire to the siren ouput (brown) from the alarm brain. i am unable to test the siren since the battery is not charged but everything seems to work fine. then i discovered that everytime i disarm my alarm, i get a sensor 1 alarm alert from the pager and the siren chirps 3 times. what did i do wrong or what can i do to correct this? any help is greatly appreciated. thanks!

Did you turn the siren on with the key? What wire did you tie into for door triggers, toward the sensor 1 alert?

What exactly is the problem with testing the siren?

the problem is not with testing the siren. the problem is whenever i disarm the alarm it appears that my sensor 1 has been triggered when it hasn't (the pager shows a sensor 1 alarm and the siren chirps 3x instead of 2). sorry for the confusion!

Couple of things. 1, some one or something is setting your shock sensor off. 2, for some reason your alarm is not resetting with ignition. To test for this intentionally set the shock sensor off a couple times, the siren should chirp a couple times (2+)on disarm, then turn the key to run and back off again, then arm and then disarm, if the siren chirps more then 2 chirps on disarm then this is the problem.
