Wondering if someone can tell me if on a Viper (791XV in particular) brain if it sends steady power and pulsating ground to the LED to activate it or if it sends pulsating power and steady ground to light it?

If I'm not mistaken, most use a pulsing ground, but I would just cut the wires and test them with a multimeter to be sure.
------------- If it don't fit, Force it.
If it breaks, You needed a new one anyway!

Yes I think I will be testing the wires just to be sure. I was hoping it would be pulsating ground outputs. I have a 04 Dodge Dakota without the factory security system but it still has the secuirty light in the dash. It too is an led that lights up the word security in the instrument cluster. All it needs is to be grounded and I found the wire for that so I will just be hooking it up to the led port on the Viper rather than using the LED supplied. Thanks Jason

Jay, just hook up the blue wire from the LED output.
