Hi. Im new to this forum. And I have this question. I just bought a Viper 791XV and I kinda like the remote for the Clifford RS3 with the carbon fiber like case. Will the Clifford RS3 (DEI 479x) remote work on my Viper 791XV system? Thanks. :)

I'm not sure, but they are both DEI. Give DEI a call 1-800-753-0800

yes it will..... all 479 remotes are cross-compatible

buy an LED remote. much smaller, plus id like to hear how someone likes them.

they are two way tho, i thought they were still interchangeable. they come with a new antenna too, not the famous <------------[ ]------------> antenna.

Responder = FM
Remotes are not compatible.

The replacement remotes for the vipers and cliffords do not come with the antennas. You have to program them into the alarm. The remote for the 791 is $169 ------------- Do it right the first time

range is good... i just did an RSX 1.2 yesterday and it got good range.....
