i just installed a bulldog 62i on my 92 lumina. when i hit the button to pop the trunk the trunk pops right open. now dont get me wrong i am excited that it works caue this is my first install. but is there a way i can configure the alarm so that i have to hold the button for 5 seconds or something like that. reason being that my son gets to my keys and i would hate to have my trunk open all night and not know it. also can i add 12 volts to the unlock wire in order to get the door to unlock with disarm. it locks just not unlock.

Power Lock lt. blue   +  either kick
Power Unlock black   +  either kick

As far as the trunk pop, check in your alarm manual, you might be able to program it to have a delay.

You may also consider *assuming* the alarm is capable of doing so, to program the alarm system so as 2 buttons on the remote control is required to do the task.

That is what I have done to ensure my RS is not turned on / off by accident.

Just another option to consider.
