i know this question has been brought up in some threads but they just died without clarifications. i have an aftermarket alarm that has a remote start capability and an aux output for extra purposes. my question is , for 2k4 4runners, does it still need transponder bypass module ? what kind, how much and where to buy(no key required kind)? and with my present alarm with aux output, can it be programmed to have the rear window go down or do i just put the original remote with my keys just for that option? somebody mentioned an "ign?", is that something you ask from the dealer to get your aftrmrkt alarm system working with the rear window? please acknowledge. thanks!!!posted_image

Bypass involves "key in the box" type bypass and requires a spare key. All you have to do to get all the windows to work with the alarm is wire acc channels to the lock pulses.

Ahh, big words hurting my head. Basically if you extend the amount of time the lock/unlock pulse sees the computer will roll all the windows up or down. So you wire additional outputs from the alarm to the lock wires. Then you push on the button to activate the channel, should be validity not latched, then after a couple of seconds the windows will start moving.
