I am having an issue with a Ford system 6 dealer installed vehicle security system. I have installed 30-40 of these alarms in the past 4 months but one i did recently is presenting quite a problem.

The car is a 2003 Ford Taurus, basic car without factory keyless entry. I installed the Ford System 6 (code alarm) no problems...done many before. The unit arms & disarms fine. Range is good too. If you cause the alarm to trigger, lets say by opening a door from inside the unit triggers which is fine. The problem is i can't shut the system OFF with the remotes.

I changed the remotes & batteries and i also replaced the module.

Any ideas?

Are you sure it is the system 6 going off, and not the factory alarm? Most all of these cars I've seen with factory keyless also have a factory alarm. Factory alarm disarm is pink/white (-) in the drivers kick panel coming from the driver door boot. If you run into this problem and hit the unlock on the factory keyless, does it stop? Just throwing some ideas out haven't seen this problem. Might want to double check that you have a good ground though units will do some strange things without a solid ground.

It's the system 6 going off as i added a siren & it's the siren that's sounding. I'll double check the ground. It's odd that i can arm/disarm from 150 ft away but can't reset the alarm from even 5 ft away!

The 03 Taurus is a LX, rental & has no remote keyless entry.
