ok so When attempting to spend some more time programming my avantguarde g4 on my nissan 240sx i noticed that my plainview valet switch buttons arent doing anything! good thing i dont have blackjax turned on... they worked as far as i know the whole time ive had the alarm and i thought they have always worked fine until today since ive used them before. troubleshooting says "Verify the WHITE wire rests at +5V, shows +3V when pressing the switch’s * button and 0V when pressing the blank button" so when I hooked up a multimeter i got 0v at rest and .07v when pressing the * button and 0v when pressing the blank button... ground wire looked ok and I checked the connections on this + the actual multimeter connection and everything is fine. the only change ive made is soldering in the tach wire which i doubt would cause any of this.

button.

The easiest thing to do if you have a Clifford dealer near you, is to go in and see if they will hook your alarm up to a PC and see what functions are working. If it shows your valet is the only thing not working they should have a spare you could plug into to see if that fixes it. I have run a AG4 for several years and have installed several too. Its not unheard of for those valet switches to have a problem, although its not real common. Let me know what you find out. Good luck.
