Let the buyer beware, I guess.  I bought a Viper 771 XV alarm system on eBay for a good price from a bargain discount warehouse type place.  Well, of course it was missing a crucial part: the "XHF Plus receiver/antenna."  And oh by the way, all sales final.

I was wondering if anybody knew where I could find the missing part, shown in the picture below.  I'm also missing the wiring harness that connects it to the brain.  I've got all the other parts.

Sure hope this doesn't mean I have to buy a whole new system.  Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

...and I just realized that someone asked almost this exact same question here: https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp?tid=39117&PN=1

Sorry about the redundant post.  But if anyone has leads on this particular part, i.e. has an extra laying around, please let me know and I will happily purchase it for a reasonable price!

I have to ask where did you get it from.

I bought the alarm on eBay from "Bargainland Liquidation Depot" in Jackson, MS.  They sell merchandise from overstock, bankruptcy, discontinued items -- that kind of stuff.

It's my own fault though, they say up front that:

"This item appears to be in 'like new' or 'excellent' condition. This product may have been 'open box product' or it may have been briefly used for a short period of time. The product appears to be complete (but we can not be 100% certain) and should perform all intended uses / functions (although we do not test in depth)."

It would have been nice to have a picture of the contents of the box, but they just had one shot of the 771 XV box, all closed up.  Got a good deal though...except for the fact that it's completely worthless to me as is...
