I have a '93 MX-6 and it has a factory alarm and a Chapman. Problem is that sometimes when I unlock the door (no remote entry) the factory alarm goes off. Anyone know how to disable alarm without disabling the starter? I should still be able to use the Chapman, which I have switched off at present.

there is a yellow / red wire in the drivers kickpanel just ground this wire possibly thru a toggle if you want to use it later then you wont have to tear off the kickpanel again. good luck.
