so far, i have found the wiring diagram. what im curious is about using the DEI 555U, the immobilizer. is that needed for a normal alarm such as the Clifford Arrow 5? i dont need remote start or anything. thanks

No, the only reason you'd need to bypass the immobilizer is if you wanted to be able to start the car w/o a key in the ignition.

The immobilizer is built into your car. The key sends out a (coded?) RF signal that the computer interprets, and won't start w/o. Thus, the car "can't" be jumpstarted.

If you're trying to install a remote start, you need an immobilizer bypass-- this is some electronics that either sends that signal, or uses an extra key to send that signal whenever the remote start is activated.

So, you already have an immobilizer, and the only reason you'd need a bypass for that immobilizer is if you were installing a remote start.
