I HAVE A HONDA CIVIC 93 3 DOOR HTB. I INSTALL A FM-2009 REMOTE ALARM W/STARTER.   EVERY THING IS WORKING FINE BUT THE UNIT SHUTS DOWN 4-5 SECONDS AFTER REMOTER STARTING.     I DID CONNECT THE TACH FORM UNIT TO THE TACH WIRE ON THE CAR BLUE AND SET SW TO TACH MODE.  I CHECK THE TACH WIRE VOLTAGE IS ABOUT 7.522.... I ALSO TRY TO WRAP TACH WIRE FROM THE UNIT  TO THE PLUG/COIL WIRE, STILL THE UNIT SHUTS DOWN 4-5 SECONDS. PLEASE HELP.

Do you have a starter kill relay installed?  If so, do you have the remote start wire installed after the relay (as opposed to between the key and the relay)?  THis could cause you remotely start the car, and then the relay will shut it down?  I think?

Is there no tach programming sequence that you have to go through for this unit ? The reason I ask is because the tach signal from a plug or the coil is usually a 1 cylinder signal . If the unit cannot see this you are not going to get the right tach.
