Ok, Just did my CS2015FM on My 2002 Durango, and I have a few questions if you don't mind... Everything is working with the exception of below..:-) FLASHING PARKING LIGHTS 10A Max The alarm has a 12V+ out for the flashing parking lights, All I need to do is find the line (should be BLACK / YELLOW) that reads 12V+ to ground when I turn the parking lights on correct? The reason why I'm asking is I'm not getting any flashing lights, and no 12V to ground when I hear the brain "clicking" (with everything hooked up) I, want to make sure I didn’t do something wrong and blow the brain up....;-( NO SIREN Can you damage a Siren by measuring the ohms through it? I think this may be why it's not working...;-( CANT PROGRAM What would the causes for no being able to get the unit into any programming mode. No matter what I do, It will not go into a programming mode. At this point I'm not using the valet switch (had to run the wires a little long, but wiring ohms out less the 1 ohm each... Thanks A Million with any assistance!! ------------- CarNut

connect all the wires you need like find the right light wire and connect it to the brain than what you do is pull the harness out of the brain for like 20 seconds thatn when you put the wire harness back in the alarm should go off just simply shut off the alarm with the remote and you should be fine ... close all doors and arm the system stand in from or back of car to see if the lights flash if they dont read install directions they may be off , you may have to either change a dip switch or go into programming and set light flash output on... ------------- Jon

How does the brain know when the ignition switch has been turned on? I think this may be my programming problem.. I used (4) 40amp relays to activate Ing1; Ing2; Acc1 and acc2.. and powered them with the Pink and Gray alarm wires….. So I don't see how the brain will "see" that the ignition switch has been turned on (required for programming....) I'm I way off base here? ------------- CarNut

Your primary ignition wire ( BLUE ) tells the RS unit wether or not the car is on or off. When this wire receives 12 volts, the RS unit knows that the key is switched over into the ACC and ON positions. Make sure that this wire is hooked up to the PRIMARY ( FIRST ) Ignition wire on the RS unit. ------------- Jeff

Also remember to hook up your door trigger wire as this will aide in letting you get into your program mode.

Ok, this is getting a little weird... I fixed the programming problem, (thank you Jeff!!!) Also fixed the siren problem, Broken ground wire, but I still can't get the parking lights to flash... I have the parking lights on a relay, and if I power the relay manually, the lights come on, but the brain will not send out 12V through the pink/white wire... So I thought, gee a bad brain, so I pull out my 2nd unit ( for second car, brand new) and that one will not send a 12V signal out either..... The manual states that it's an output of 12VDC @10 amps max..... Does anybody have any ideals.....? ------------- CarNut

Did you test the output wire for votage ? Is it infact a 12 volt output ? Test the connection . ------------- Jeff

Jeff, Yes I tested the terminal right out of brain.... No voltage on both, but I do here "clicking"..... So then I looked for a ground pulse through that terminal, and also got nothing on both brains..... The install manual says +10A Max and is included in the high current connector.... So I am assuming that it is a 12VDC output....... Thanks for your Help… ------------- CarNut

Still a bit confused by your problem. Which wire are you using for your parking light wire in the vehicle? Did you find a BLACK / YELLOW wire on the headlight switch and test it with a meter to verify that it does have 12 volts on it only when the parking lights are on. Note that the crimestopper units have a positive and negative parking light output on them that is selectable by changing a jumper pin....see instruction manual to do this. If you are having problem finding the BLACK / YELLOW positve wire you could also go to the central timer module in the drivers kickpanel and look for a RED / yellow wire which is a negative triggered parking light wire...thus eliminating the need for any relays. (Just be sure to change the jumper pins for a negative parking light output before doing this though......or else big problems!) I have found that the BLACK/ yellow wire on dodges is not always the easiest wire to get....and there can be several of them. I wouldnt suspect any problems in the Crimestopper module at this point, but it wouldn't hurt to check the output on the white wire with a "test-light" (pulses may be too quick to read with a digital multimeter) just in case something could have already happened to the unit.

Last Problem Solved! The problem was that the installation instructions is incorrect. The flashing light wire is the fused white wire next to the ground wire, in a different connector all to gether... The instructions has this connector listed incorrectly.... Man-0-Man, that took about 3 hours to figure out..... What a pain..... Thanks for all your help guys, I really appreciate it!! ------------- CarNut
