In my last post I asked some questions about installing my RSX 3.5 alarm in a 97 cutlass supreme and I was posted the link for direct techs, and it was posted that I need either the 555L or the 652T which one do I need. I stopped working on my installation when I realized I might have the wrong module. I purchased the 555L when I bought my alarm, which one do I need I have a black chip on my key (which makes me think its vats) and the instructions for the 555L say it works on a 97 cutlass.
Is it Passlock II or VATS?
Can I use the 555L or am I going to have to go and purchase some resistors and make the resistance match?
And where can I find the wires for either the VATS or Passlock II. There is some wires wrapped by an orange covering is this the wires I need or are they some place else?
Thanks in advance for all of your help.

If it's vats just use a mini relay with the proper resistor value to mimic the key. It sounds like it is vats if it has the "Black chip" in it. Measure the value of the resistor on the key and use the same value on your relay. I've never actually used a module to do vats...call me old fashioned.
