HELP !!!!!

I am trying to hook up my phoenix pd-175 trunk release function.

Problem 1: My trunk release won't work at all, even with the button in the console! There are 2 wires on it, gray and brown w/blue. The brown w/blue reads 12 volts all the time. The gray reads 12v when the button is depressed, and 4.83v otherwise. But the trunk doesn't open.

Problem 2: the wire from the main control unit is green and says " trunk release, positive output".The info. I got online says there should be a lt. GREEN/ black wire at the release switch (see above)...would this be the button in the console, or the lock mechanism in the trunk? Also, do I need to wire in a relay with this?

I got the alarm and keyless entry all working, but this trunk has got me stumped! Any help greatly appreciated!

Trunk Release L GREEN/ BLACK (+) AT TRUNK RELEASE SWITCH #231

most alarm outputs are -ve....if yours is, then you will need a relay........run a wire to the trunk and test it if need be............if the switch is not working, then it sounds like you have a bad spot in the wire somewhere..............

U might want to check Trunk Motor,  I have replaced a couple of those because of weak & burnt solinoids (Mopar knows they R bad)
