I've already changed option#9 to Diesel 10.  It remote starts fine except this morning (first attempt of the day).  It seems like it needs a longer cranking time.  It's a 2002 and I got the tach in the PCM (white wire).

check how long it takes for  the glow plug light to go out on your dash once u turn the key to the on position not crank usually  the chillier it is outside the longer it takes ,just set feature 9 to diesel 20 that 3 flashes on your parking lights; another thing i've experienced on these trucks especially in the morning on colder mornings is if the vehicle has a transponder type key is that u should tape the ring snuggly around cylinder and grind down plastic on key a little to expose chip a little more.Be carefull not to grind too far or you will damage chip, this will help this vehicle to stop having first crank failures which is vary common on FORDS.
