i got this about 3 years ago for free and never did anything with it. its brandnew, i dont know anything about it. but i was wondeing if any of you did. what i want to know is, is this a stand alone unit or do i need a clifford alarm to use it? it says it will unlock doors and disable the ignition, it has remotes with it, but no siren so it leads me to believe that i need a alarm to go with it. i dont even want the remote start feature just an alarm and lock/unlock of doors. also does anyone know where i can find an installation manual for it? i went to the clifford web site but it didnt help me much. here it is all i could find if you want to look at it https://www.clifford.com/guides/ogs/smartremotestart3_owners.pdf . thanks in advance

This unit is not an alarm, and will not work with an alarm.  It is strictly intended for convenience, keyless entry and remote start, however it will also provide starter kill when doors are locked but there is no siren.
