Hi guys, i am new here. I am from Europe - Netherlands.
Unfortunately here in the Netherlands we only have some pathetic 2way alarm imported from Japan/China/Korea ( i don't know). It all looks like it's coming from asianwolf.com :(. Here in Europe we have lots of good brands as well, one of the best is clifford, but it's just TOO expensive.
Now i would like to order a good 2way alarm from the US, but i guess you have lots of asian stuff as well :p.
I would like to have some advice from you. I read through some topics and most ppl say that D.E.I. alarms are the way to go. For example the Viper 791XV. So this would be one of my choices. (of course i could go for the python as well, or the hornet, all the same i guess).
But my second choice is Crimestopper Informer 2 (CS-2016FM). I really like the remote of this alarm. It's the usual stuff, it actually looks different from all the other brands, a little original as well :), but we all know that quality is not all in the remote.
Who can give me some good advice on choosing the right alarm.
I can get the Viper around 160 - 170 USD and the Crimestopper Informer 2 for 150 USD ( new, not refurbished)
Thanks !!
ps. maybe autopage an option
hi i just bought and installed the fm2009 from asian wolf and its ok but my last car i had the crimestopper with canadian specs and it was awesome longest range i have ever seen better than dei which i have also had in the past the only thing about the crimestopper was the remote is large like the hornet they have a big remote if it wasnt for that i would have got another one. if i knew the range wasnt going to be as good with the fm2009 i would have got another crimestopper good luck --pat
hey,
coul thanks for the reply. I decided to go for the Viper 791XV. I hope i made the right choice. I read somewhere the Viper and the Clifford are almost the same (cause they're both from DEI) and Clifford is the best alarm in Europe , so thatswhy :)
I payed 185 USD for the unit. Pretty cheap if i look what a clifford matrix 3.5 costs here in the Netherlands. It is at least 600 euros, that's approx. 730 USD
