First to say i am very new to this but trying.

when fitting smart windows 2 the diagram states to look for 12v on the window switch when pressing up or down then cut this wire and attach orange wire to motor side and blue to switch side and vice versa passenger switch.

but when i test for 12v on the switch its there already and goes to 0 volts when the switch is pessed.

i know im a bit slow but this is confussing.

Any help

It would be most helpful to know the vehicle make, model, year, which this device is being installed into.

This link will summerize for you the back ground and theory as to how to interface the window module.

Please take a few moments to review the material, and hopefully this will answer your Q's.
