Ok i am using an autopage RST-2050KE most everything is working good except it won't start or even attempt to, and the lights don't flash. I've gone though all of the programming. The gray wire is grounded like required. And the parking light wire from the alarm is surging positive feed.  please help!

i have a autopage system in a car i own is your tach wire connected if so where did you attach the wire and in what year model car and are you connected to a possitive 12 volt constant feed and if so  do your door locks work does anything work what works and what doesn't and there has got to be two wires grounded one that is supposed to be connected to the negative signal from parking break with out this grounded the remote start will not work at all . no light flash output nothing. make sure you have ground of unit and the parking brake ground screwd down to a constant ground. so you will get something. any help email me i have the exact unit.

ok heres what i know so far! the white wire from the brain is not sending a positive signal to the starter wire when remote start is activated.

one question in the back of my mind is. does the starter disable wire have to be grounded if not in use and hooked up?

yes as i have already discussed with you over private email. the grey wire which you are using is a negative trigger to disable the alarm in conjunction witha hoodpin switch or whatever so that wire unless wanted can remain disconected.

I don't know much about the Autopage RS units, but is this unit for both manual and automatic vehicles ?

  • Make sure that your not in " manual mode " where you have to go through a sequence in order for the unit to work.
  • Make sure that the starter wire from the RS unit is attached AFTER the starter disable relay and NOT BEFORE it.
  • make sure that all trigger points of the vehicle are closed for the RS unit to operate properly.

Post your results

well lets see if i can answer all your questions acurately

• Nowhere in the manuals does it say anything about manual or automatic wiring, how ever it does have an optional nuetral saftey wire

• I am not using the starter disable wire

•Tried it

is the nuetral safety switch gounded? most remote starts need the satety switch to be grounded in order for it to remote start. otherwise you will get nothing, no light flash no attempt to start. good possibility this is your problem.
