I'm installing a alarm/remote start combo and have the gmdl-bp to interface the data bus. I have one question about the connections on the gmdl-bp. On the pink wire it states * dome light input from vehicle*  would that be the dome light   wire from the alarm/rs unit or from the actual vehicle?

thanks, Steve

Sahall32 I have done a few of these units and what that means is that you have to find a domelight source from the vehicle to go to this pink wire, then it will give you door triggers on the output of the GMDL-BP.  It works pretty good, kinda like the old GMDAA's if you have ever used one.  But let me know what kind of vehicle, maybe I can tell you the domelight wire.  Hopefully this helps you.

That one I don't know but hopefully you found it by now!  But its never a stupid question to ask, especially if your unsure, better safe than sorry, especially on a vehicle like that!

Just a question but on the GMDAA does it say it will do a trailblazer, I'm pretty sure that it will do it, but one question, or I should say make sure that is a version 2.7 or up, or a 2.4, otherwise you might wind up into some difficulties.  Otherwise using the GMDAA is like pie.  You'll see what I mean once you install it.  Let me know how it goes.

It syas it will fit the 04 trailblazer and the gmdaa is version 2.8. Should that work ok without any problems.

Yes it will. The GMDL-BP isn't recommended on the Trailblazers and Envoys. The manufacturers are having problems on these vehicles with that module. They say they are coming out with a revised version shortly. The only problem you may have is if you have a 8 cylinder motor. I had a few people tell me the GMDAA doesn't like those motors.
