GMDL1 Wiring

I am installing a remote start w/ keyless entry system in my 2003 Trailblazer (that already has a remote keyless).  I have searched the board and found a lot of wiring information for the Trailblazer.  Thanks.  The remote start is working great.  The GMDL1 is another story though.  I have wired the LOCK OUTPUT from my new RS unit to the green LOCK INPUT wire on the GMDL1 and tied them both to the gray DOOR LOCK motor wire at the switch in the driver door.  Similarly, I tied the UNLOCK from the RS to the blue UNLOCK INPUT on the GMDL1 to the tan DOOR UNLOCK motor wire in the driver door.  When I hit the lock or unlock buttons on the new remote, nothing happens.  When I hit the lock or unlock buttons on the factory remote (which should still work) the doors cycle rapidly between locked and unlocked about 6 times the the horn lets out some short beeps (shorter than the factory alarm beeps) and then the locks begin to cycle again and so on.

I sure would appreciate any advice anyone has to offer.

Who is the manufacturer of your GMDL1?

It's listed as SPAL, but I think they may be buying them from someone else.  The installations instructions can be found at https://www.bypasskit.com/manual.aspx?prodid=GMDL1  Mine is version 4.08.

U need to read your instructions carefully
This is really a simple install  It is made by OMEGA and sold to a lot of companies

U DO NOT hook up your Lock / Unlock wires to your Vehicle Door Lock wiresor switches
U do not need to hook up the Violet/white, Orange, or Pink wires unless U want to.
DO NOT hook up VIOLET wire to OBDII until U have hook up all wires that U need & the RS & GMDL1 is plugged in

Bypass is to be wired like this:

BROWN = Negative Output from RS when Running for Remote Start
GREEN = Lock wire from RS
BLUE = Unlock wire from RS
VIOLET / White = Driver Unlock wire from RS (if U have one)
VIOLET = DATA wire on OBDII (usually Violet)
PINK = Dome Lite wire +
ORANGE = Panic
RED = + 12 volt Positive constant
BLACK = - Ground

U DO NOT hook up your Lock / Unlock wires to your Vehicle Door Lock wires or switches
