I recently bought some blinking LED's and I was wondering if there was a way to change the speed rate of how fast they blink. Any suggestions will be appreciated. TIA

The internal value of the capacitor would need to be changed, which affects the flash rate.

The smaller the value, the faster the (on) rate of flash, conversly, the larger the value, will increase the (off) flash rate.

No, the internal value of the capacitor within the unit, needs to be changed.

Unfortunately, all the Radio Shack units I have ever seen, do not appear to be user friendly, when it comes to disassembly.

One way you could go is to buy a varad LED. They have adjustable blinking speeds. You would hook it up to power and the neg starter kill output of your alarm. You would lose some functionality of the regular alarm LED (assuming your LED lights solid when in valet, blinks rapidly before passive arming or gives you some kind of alarm report upon disarm).
