i installed a r/s on a 2003 gmc sierra the start works great but it will only start if the doors are unlocked i recently installed a r/s on a 2002 and had no trouble but the difference between two is i did not install the keyless because of the headache. i'm planning on lookin at it tomorrow my question is does the factory disarm wire have anything to do with this?? any input on this guys??

Did U hook up the DisArm wire:

OEM Alarm Disarm

LT GREEN (-)

AT DOOR MODULE INSIDE DRIVERS DOOR

OR
There is another wire elsewhere, maybe someone will post it

no i did not i thought ya only needed it if you were adding aftermarket keyless entry was i wrong to assume this?

Usually, that is why it starts with doors UNLocked (DisArmed)

right on that must be a difference from the 02 cause i never has that prob but i did have to go in and hook up the wire for keyless thanks fro the help mo.
