Hi

Any views on RS3.5 MATRIX alarm

I am thiking of installing one in the wifes MGF soft top  good or bad idea, the factory alarm is useless.

difficult to install ?

i seem to have managed ok with my intellivoice iq install on my coupe (Teken take a bow)  but the rs seems way more advanced.

Any advice would be more than helpful

it's a nice unit, you'll want to go with the 508D FDS sensor as well if it's a soft top.......

What model year is this vehicle? I may be able to supply you with the required wiring schematic(s) for the vehicle.

If you also need the RS 3.5 installation guide please let me know, and I will leave a link here.

Also, you will find this installation easier, and more enjoyable, as the IG unit is pretty intensive in itself.

I could send the wife on holiday just in case it goes wrong.

What is the 508D FDS sensor ? is like proxy 4 sensor.

This wiring information is being provided free of charge on an "as is" basis, without any representation or warranty. It is your responsibility to verify any circuit before interfacing with it using a digital multimeter.

This is as close as I can get for you. Break out the meter to verify the rest of the circuits.

You do not need the Cliffnet Wizzard Pro, but having the proper cable and the software does enable you to do extra features which are not accessable via the valet switch. A 998 Bitwriter will also do the same thing, and does speed along the programming sequences.

With respect to the RS portion. Yes there are more wires to interface, but again, taking the proper time and preparations to have all available information and resources at hand will make it go smoothly.

The 508D FDS is like the Proxy 4, but alot less sufisticated, and reliable.
