I purchased a third S pats key blank for my 03 Taurus, now must it be ground first to program it or can it just be held near the ignition while going through the motions with the other two keys, the blank one will be used for the bypass and i was wondering if this could be done,

Install the remote start and make sure it will remote start with a programmed key in the ignition.

After that....
Key 1 on until theft light goes out.
Key 2 on until theft light goes out.
Take 3rd key, hold next to ignition cylinder and remote start the car. Key should now be programmed.
Wire up module....put car back together.
