i got a prostart r/s installed with the passlock 2 feature i did not hook up the keyless but chose to use the factory one instead i also hooked up the green disarm wire in the driver door. like i said the starter works perfect but only if the doors are unlocked.

i can't say that i have ever heard of that problem before.
are you sur ethat you don't have a wait-to-start wire grounding out with the domelight or something like that?

Check the programming for the Prostart. Most of them don't pulse the disarm wire with default programming. You should program all modes and functions when these remote starters are used. Don't forget to program the tach too. Confirm that you have also tapped into the correct wire inside the drivers door for the disarm circuit. I would suggest that you purchase a keyless/alarm data interface for this truck. They are worth the money and conveniece. They hook up with only a few wires inside the dash and control the locks and factory alarm.
