hi there

i tried to install the alpine 8027 today and when i connected it to the battery the siren went off so i used my remote to shut if off....then after that the siren doesnt chirp or go on anymore....even when i try to arm/disarm it...well i tested out the siren external and it works fine...im thinking i triggered the wrong settingson the brain...can anyone help me out....does n e one know how to reset the brain or know any factory procedures? thanks. email me at

Your CHIRP feature may be turned off.

  • 1 - Neg Door ( off ) / Pos. Door ( ON )
  • 2 - Manual ( off ) / Auto (ON )
  • 3 - 1 sec. Pulse ( off ) / 3 sec. Pulse ( ON )
  • 4 - Chirp (  ON/OFF )

    • There are 4 switches in the CPU ... make sure that the chirp is in the on position.
