you know how theres a orange light that comes on when you replace the battery and a song plays on the remote? is there a way to make the light come on whenever i press a button on the remote so that can see the status of the car? i drive frequently at night and i sometimes have a hard time seeing the status on the lcd remote. basically i want ti to function somewhat like a cell phone, like have the light come on the pager whenever i press a button and have it turn off by itself after a few seconds.. is there any way to do this? i mean DEI did make it so that there is a backlight so whay not be able to take advantage of it?

oh yea.. i konw this will shorten battery life, but i think its worth it.

ok nevermind.. i just read the manual.. i guess i should do this next time before posting dumb question like this.. sorry

but if anyone else wants to know without looking through the manual, just hold all four buttons down at the same time untill a long beep is heard, then press unlock. you can also press lock on the remote to toggle between vibrate notification on/off. to exit just dont touch anything for 5 secs.

yah..it's in the manual..That's how I have mine setup. to show the light if I press a button or if theres a status change. Doesn't kill the batt TOOO much. i want it to beep ,,flash and vibrate:) I don't think it can do all of that
