Sup, I have a 2001 Chevy Silverado 5.3L, only 1 ignition is hooked up right now. I know I need to wire up the 2nd ignition, do I need a relay for the 2nd ign. to work properly? Also, where is the best place to find a tach source? I heard the odd colored coil or white wire behind cluster? He wired it to the BCM I believe and he said it wouldnt tach learn. Just lookin' for other Ideas, Is hookin up the tach wire necessary? Thanx, much appreciated!

Its already hooked up, and was fine. Then my SES light came on, and a next time I drove the truck the tranny wouldnt shift into 3rd cause the 2nd ignition wire wasnt hooked up.....So will I need a relay off my CLifford RS 3.5 for just the 2nd ignition tho? ANd what about the 3rd? Thanx!

All wires which involve the RS, need to be wired in and powered.

Hooked up the 2nd ignition wire, and the tranny shifts fine now! The SES light is still on, will it take a few starts to clear it? Also, the tach learn worked!

It will go off eventually if the codes are no longer present.
