DOES IT HAVE ONE POSS AND ONE NEGG

IF SO FIND THE ACC WIRE BEHIND RADIO (SWITCHED 12 VOLT) WIRE AND USE AS POSSITIVE AND YOU CAN GROUND THE NEGATIVE TO ANY METAL SURFACE LIKE BEHIND RADIO.. IF YOU LIGHTER DOES NOT WORK WHEN KEY IS OFF THAN YOU CAN USE THE POSSITIVE AND NEGATIVE FROM THAT JUST PUT A SEPERATE FUSE IN LINE ON THE POSSITIVE SIDE BEFORE THE INPUT OF THE RADAR DETECTOR.

mecp certification is not always needed. I have it and it has not helped me out at all. my experience out shines it.

the alarm has a negative trigger  ,the sensor has a a ground. positive 12volt, negative output, and another negative output used for the warn away.

Hey Gab;

Wire the trigger wire from the perimter sensor to the (-) trigger wire of the Alpine alarm. You will need to diode isolate the two wires from each other so they don't mess anything up when only one of them triggers. Have a diode in line of one of the wires with the cathode band facing the alarm system.

BTW: You can't hook up the pre-warn trigger wire unless the Alpine alarm has a pre-warn input wire.

thanks jeff and djfearny2, i dont think the alpine 8026a has a pre warn output, so can i still use either the warn away or the full trigger on the sensor, im use to just plugging in the sensors in to a port on the alarm. do you guys know if the sensor that comes with the alpine, it uses a 1/4 inch plug, is a single or dual stage shock sensor. im kind of new to the alpine alarms.

p.s. i have another post on the vocalarm from DEI but i havent had any luck with DEI on the wiring for that product, my local shops act like if they have never heard of it, and just give me the run around. any help is really appreciated. thank you.

If memory serves me right the Alpine 8026 & 8027 have a single impact sensor that plugs into the side of the alarm brain. If you wanted to use the (-) trigger for the perimter sensor you would have to use the (-) door trigger to activate the alarm system.

can you still use the door trigger to sound the alarm when the doors open, and also use it to trigger the warn away?

You can still use the door and the activation wire on the perimter sensor but you can't use the pre-warn because the prewarn will activate the alarm system.

Distance is not relavent, just make sure that it's diode isloated on one of the two trigger wires.
