Did the 97 Viper have a seperate Alarm Module?  I thought the RKE on right side of steering column controlled the whole enchilada?

Trunk/Hatch Pin
Notes: Running wires to the trunk of this sled is no fun. There is a path through the right rear fender well if you pull the large grommet in upper rear passenger side trunk (stereo harness there already) and drill a hole high in the upper corner of c**kpit on passenger side below the first weld mark. This will bring you out in the fender well above the liner and a thin stiff fish will find its way to the large grommet.
Hood Pin
Trunk/Hatch Release
Notes: Unless you want to drill the rivets on the stock latch mechanism and do some welding on the innards, dont sell this option. Also see note on running wires to trunk.

thanks teken,
thats the same info that i have now......there are no door locks per say....there is a switch of some sort that will be come disabled when you use the factory remote to "lock" the doors......Notes: Factory alarm and keyless entry modules located on drivers side of transmission tunnel. Wires available here include: RED / wht (12V+), dk. blue/wht (ign), blk/red (horn -), blk/yel (pk lts +), yel (door trig -), blk/org (Armed light). i checked these wires and not all of them measured like they should.....i would like to pulse teh factory arm and disarm wires in order to disable the release switch for the doors.....thet wasy the system works is after you release the door, the swtch stays enabled for 30-45 seconds......then it times out....after you puch the release on the outside of the car, it wakes up for another 30-45 seconds....im thinking if i use the arm/disarm wires, i can have the alarm enable and disable the switch.......then i would like to use the second channel to "pop" the drivers door...or im thinking about adding a trunk soleniod to "pop" open the drivers door.......the car can be seen at:

The four resources which looked up all say that OE alarm module is next to, or by the steering column, on the drivers side.

i also have that info mo12v, however this car doesnt have "door locks" as we would think......when you "lock" the doors, you just disable the door release wire that allows the door to pop open.....

thanks for the info...

10-4.........Didn't mean to throw a monkey wrench:

The last one I worked on, I used the Factory Keyless for RS & didn't recall an Alarm on it.
But I know the RKE was next to steering column
