Everything seems to be hooked up correctly.  Grey should be the tach wire off the coil.  Should I be using a different wire?  Read another post saying to let it go through learning mode for 5 minutes.  Havent tried that yet but I am not sure if I am even on the right wire.

Thanks for any help!

Bill

Do you have the grey key and if so did you install the bypass kit for it?

I do have the grey key but what is the by-pass kit and would it come with the kit?  This is the crime stopper RS900.

No the remote start would not come with the kit.  You have a sentry or security key.  It has a chip in it that is programmed to your vehicle.  If the vehicle doesn't "see"(get the RF) the key it will start and then quit to prevent a thief from stealing it.

I prefer the Directed Electronics 555C bypass kit.

Just for a test put you key in the ignition but don't turn the ignition on and remote start the vehicle.  It should work just fine.

You are absolutely right.  It does stay running when the key is in the ignition.  Thanks for the help.  Besides the internet, is there anywhere I could buy this.  I called a dealership and they say they would not carry something like that.  Best buy says they do not sell these individually.  Any ideas?

Thanks for all your help so far.

Well if you want to pay and arm and a leg you could find a DEI dealer in your area and buy one.   You should be able to get a 555C from Ebay for like $15 to $25 bucks.  There are also other options that include having to use a key within a box but by the time you buy a key ($$$$) and the box it would be better to get the 555C.

Try that one.

I really appreciate all your help.  I bought the one off ebay.  I called another audio place in town and they wanted $60.  You save $ and a huge headache.

Thank you,

Bill

Glad I could help.  All it requires is +12V and a ground input from your remote start while the remote start is activated.  It will come with instructions to program it.
