I just installed a DEI Remote Start on a customers 04 Escalade and have a slight problem. When you remote start the truck it just creeps along and has no speed a all. The dealership looked at it for me and told me that the remote start is not "waking up" the transmission. Has anyone ever heard of this before and if so, how do you rectify it. I am somewhat confused. I have been installing these for a long time now and never encountered this before. Thanks.

My tech told me that he tested the 2nd ignition wire and got 12 volts during start up. We are going to rewire the tap in point and hope that is it. Thanks

how did you wire in the 2nd IGN wire ? Make sure that the remote starter activates the the 2nd IGN relay of the harness.

Apparently you have not been doing this a long time as it has been common knowledge about wiring up the white wire as a second ignition for a long time. The white wire has to have 12 volts on it during start and while running or you will ruin the transmission.
