Guys, would the wiring for a US and UK clifford alarm be the same for the same model ?

I know in UK that to get the Thatcham Categorisation, many of the wires are black on a cat 1. Is it safe to assume that the wire position will be the same between UK and US

Im from UK.

Cheers

They dont have Thatcham products in the US so wont be familiar with your question.

The concept 650 for example is developed for the UK market.

Hi
Just looking through the old posts and this caught my eye

Thatcham is a is a research centre for security products

https://www.thatcham.org/

The wires were probably tagged on the ends on instillation then removed but when it come to the alarm unit itself they will be bundled together and feed through a hole in the side of an armour plated box “to protect the control unit” so if you have removed the alarm unit then you should only be holding a metal box with a lot of black wires coming from it.
This is Unless you removed ever single wire from its connection to the vehicles wiring and marked them all.

Another difference is that the door wiring in the USA is positive ground rather than negative ground.

Hope this helps both sides of the pond.

Cheers Dan
