Just installed a Cliffords AG5 system to my car....few probs with the factory BCM but sussed it in the end!

Anyway..when i first installed it the siren was nice and loud...know the volume seems to have dropped right off it and can hardly hear the thing....its a Smart siren.

I was wondering if the car just needed driving some more to charge the siren or if i have a siren problem or even worse a brain problem.

Anyone had any experience or seen this problem before?? Anyone know how to go about testing it all?

Matt

Must be a Matt thing.  I just installed the AG5 in my car... the first few days the alarm was LOUD, now i have no sound at all.  Not sure what happened.  Talked to DEI an they said give it a few more days to charge and if still nothing, it may have to be replaced.  Ill let you know if i find out anything else.

The clifford sirens take about 8 hours to charge, they only charge with the ignition ON. Is it just the arm/disarm tones that are low?? - not the main siren sound when you trigger the alarm??

The siren comes with a charge, so it works out of the box.  Unless something goes wrong it shouldnt drain.  I get no sound at all from the siren -- no chirps, no sound when the alarm is triggered, and i cant even get it to work through cliffnet wizzard.  Ive tested the lines and connections and the siren is getting power and ground and everything else, so it seems as though it should be working.
