I have done starters and security on many of these my questions are...
Has anyone figured out how to trigger the factory remote start from an aftermarket unit?
Is there a way to disarm the factory alarm without factory remote. Dei info says no
Has anyone done an add on alarm to the factory keyless? If so any tips? I have not done one since 89 when I was all state tee ball. Haha

if it's not the malibu maxx then the factory alarm will disarm with ignition, but if you use a data module from automobility it will do all the locks, domelight,trunk, alarm,stereo shunt ect.
personally i would try to keep the aftermarket with the aftermarket, trying to control the aftermarket parts may cause interfeirence and plus you will only get the range of the factory remote......not too far.

Yeah that is why I never do add on alarms. The range is like ten feet! But if it has factory remote start I think you have to use an add on alarm. I put a regular alarm on the malibu and the salesman cursed me out. Screaming at me in the show room that I should have known better. He never told me that it had factory r/s. And when I asked him he said how am I supposed to know I just sell the cars.
