Subject: How To Program Avital Remote?

I poked around Avital's site and I couldnt find anything, and I also searched this site and came up with no matching entries to program Avital remotes. Well my neighbor had a damaged Avital remote and we both dont know what model Avital alarm he has. But I did order him a remote off eBay which is the same kind he currently uses. The remote is a 2 button with red LED light. The buttons are purple and the FCC/ID on the back are:  CZ57RRTX3

Can anyone help me out? TIA

crawl under the dash and get the model # off the main module, then someone can go on DEI's site and look it up for you......

Make sure the alarm is not in valet mode, you will know this, if the LED is lit solid, it it is not solid you are good to go.

1. Turn the ignition switch to on, or the vehicle in running mode.

2. Within 10 seconds. Toggle the valet switch on-off, untill you here 16 chirps. This will bring you to the one step remote programming mode.

3. Press button #1 on the remote control. You will hear five (5) chirps if the remote has been learnt by the alarm system.

4. Turn the ignition to the off position.

The buttons will operate using the default settings in the alarm system.
